Linseed oil is used by mixing it with oils, fluidizes them and adds more elasticity and shine, increasing their transparency, blurs the brushstroke and gives shine. It is a very drying oil and offers greater durability to the paint film.

According to the technique used, linseed oil can be used with any instrument or brush. The recommended amount to apply will depend on how blurred the brushstroke is or the fluidity you want to obtain, but it is advisable not to abuse its use since it yellows the paint (especially light colors) and increases the possible formation of cracks .
