Vegetable greasy diluent for oil painting. With lighter shade than the linseed oil, particularly suitable for light and blue colors. Increases transparency, brightness, fluidity and elasticity of the paint layer. Ideal for glazes, transparencies, etc. Used in quantity, and applied in excessive thicknesses, it can produce wrinkles. As drying is slow, it may delay drying of oil colors somewhat. Application with brush or spatula. Diluents: Essence of Turpentine or White spirit.
