At the end of the war, the Allied forces were advancing rapidly, and the German army needed a tank with greater potential for the Ardennes front.
This greater potential required an increase in gun caliber and size. Selecting a new turret that could withstand this increase was crucial.
Thus, the first 50 King Tigers were manufactured with a Porsche turret. However, subsequent units used the new Henschel turret, which proved more effective and was also revised before final production. Tamiya includes the faithfully reproduced Henschel turret in this model.
The model includes a DKW NZ350 military motorcycle and a total of three figures and decals for four tanks.
