03798 Arado AR-240 - Revell Scale 1/72

Box dim. 350 x 40 x 210 mm.

The development of the high-performance Ar 240 multi-purpose aircraft began in 1938, the new aircraft was supposed to deeply penetrate  into British airspace as a high-speed destroyer.

For this purpose, the Arado developed a remote-controlled defense armament in addition to a pressure cockpit.

From 1942 to 1944, some prototypes demonstrated their use as rapid reconnaissance in Britain, the Mediterranean and the Eastern Front.

The AR 240 model with a length of 186 mm and a wingspan of 226 mm, is an impressive collector's item.
