The autogiro Cierva C.30A was an autogyro designed by the engineer Juan de la Cierva and built under license from Cierva Autogiro Company by A V Roe & Co Ltd, Liore-et-Olivier and Focke-Wulf. The aircraft that follows in the numerical sequence, C.30, is the most well-known version, having been manufactured in several countries. After testing with a modified C.19 Mk V propelled by a 100 hp Armstrong Siddeley Genet Major engine and with a rotor head that could balance by using pendant control, Avro commissioned National Flying Services to build a two-seat version, which flew for the first time in April 1933.
68 units were built in France by Liore-et-Olivier as LeO C.30 (1), LeO C.30S (59) LeO C.301 (1) and LeO C.302 (7) with 175 hp Salmson 9Ne engines
